How to find touch screen dead zones
- Press Full screen so the test covers the whole display.
- Draw slow lines from edge to edge, across and down, close together.
- Look for gaps. A line that breaks in the same place every time is a dead zone.
- Put several fingers down to check multi-touch. Most phones track 5 or 10.
Touch screen test questions
How do I test my touch screen?
Draw lines across the whole area, ideally in full screen. Breaks in the lines show areas that don't respond.
How many touch points does my screen support?
The page shows the number your device reports, and Most fingers at once shows what it actually tracked.
Why is my touch screen not responding in one area?
A screen protector with an air bubble, a crack, or a faulty digitizer. Remove the protector and test again.
